Third annual Vette City Con preparations underway

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- At the National Corvette Museum, a big city experience awaits comic and film fans at the third annual Vette City Con.

Convention loving couple Chad and Chelsea Sheppard started the Vette City Con so fans of the comic and film world could enjoy it in a smaller city. Typically events like this are held in larger cities such as the San Diego Comic-Con International and the New York Comic Con.

Among the guests attending Vette City Con is Scout Compton from popular horror films Halloween 1 and 2.

“I’m really excited about it. I always get very excited whenever I go to conventions in small towns. I was getting autographs and I was buying things. I understand what it’s like to be a fan. I just think that it’s so amazing to be able to meet my fans and to interact with them and answer questions,” Compton said.

Compton is excited to be attending the convention.

“We feel like this is more comfortable than doing a convention in Los Angeles, because Los Angeles people don’t care. When we come out here, they actually care, and that’s why we do it. When someone appreciates your work, it just makes us feel so much better and what we’re doing is just so worth it,” Compton said.
