The WCPL is celebrating National Library Week with a variety of events
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Every year, typically on the second week in April, is National Library Week.
As libraries nationwide face shuttering their doors, the Warren County Public Library is going strong and celebrating its public services.
During National Library Week, the WCPL says it’s a time for community members to access resources and items free of charge.
Whether it’s books, movies or using the Bob Kirby Branch’s Idea Lab to create, the library celebrates the week by offering a variety of experiences and events.
The WCPL has noticed a trend in libraries going paperless and using more digital means.
Bob Kirby Branch Manager Ashley Fowlkes said using paper maintains a legitimacy the internet doesn’t always offer.
During National Library Week, the WCPL urges the community to utilize libraries as reliable sources.
