The Warren County Little Learners bus continues

ALVATON Ky.-The Little Learners mobile classroom brought school to the kids over summer. Now the green bus is rolling out for the fall.

Because of positive feedback, the Warren County Little Learners bus is back to serve the kids through the year, in addition to the summer program. Thanks to the Preschool Partnership Grant, the bus makes stops at local parks like Phil Moore Park in Alvaton, in order to be noticeable for passing families. School officials are saying they’re excited to keep building up the kids.

“We’re super excited to be able to offer this through the school year. The focus of the grant was to be able to offer this all through the school year, and the summer program was just our initial getting started and seeing where the interest was. We’ve had enormous response to that,” said Warren County Schools Preschool consultant Christina Sanders.

Paige Hargett is the one who is teaching the students, and she says she’s seen a pattern of more kids now compared to summer.

“We have already served a ton of families.  I’m actually thinking we’ve had more families in this last week than we did all summer, so it’s just blooming and blossoming everywhere,” Hargett said.

Hargett said the experience of the Little Learners bus is one that she’ll never get bored of, as the bus continues to help shape the next generation all year long.

“I cannot wait to see the developmental milestones that are growing all throughout the year. We’ve already had families come back twice. We’re going to see lots of growth this year and hopefully it’ll be a great success for kindergarten readiness,” Hargett said.
