The Med Center at Franklin celebrates 25th anniversary

FRANKLIN, KY.- For 25 years, the Med Center at Franklin has been a vital lifeline for the Simpson County community. Rural hospitals like this one often serve as the backbone of healthcare in small towns, making life-changing differences for individuals and their families. To celebrate this milestone, dozens of community members and city leaders gathered to reflect on the hospital’s legacy and continued impact.

Steve Thurmond, Executive Director of the Franklin Chamber and a board member of the Med Center at Franklin, emphasized that the hospital is not only essential for public health but also a key driver of growth in the area. “One of the first questions we get asked is, How is your medical profession? How is the medical coverage in your community?” Thurmond said. The Med Center at Franklin has helped attract new families and businesses, playing a central role in the area’s development. Looking ahead, the hospital remains committed to supporting Franklin, Simpson County, and the surrounding communities  for the next 25 years and beyond.
