The CORE of Scottsville begins Thanksgiving with Prayer Breakfast
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.- For many in south central Kentucky, the season of thanks and giving begins with prayer. That’s exactly how The Core in Scottsville begins its day.
The local nonprofit hosted the annual prayer breakfast as a way to unite the community to give thanks.
The executive director of The Core, Ernie Stafford, tells us why this tradition that’s been going on is so important.
He says, “We’re blessed by community giving, and we’re just really, really thankful. This is a time, you know, everybody should give thanks. You know, we kind of everybody gets in the Christmas spirit right after Halloween. But we kind of reserved that one day of Thanksgiving to give thanks. Everybody’s always just pouring out their love.”
