‘The American Dream’ films at Anna’s Greek Restaurant
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The journey of Anna’s Greek Restaurant is long but well worth the work that was put into it. The authentic cuisine created here helped this restaurant land a feature on the T.V. series “The American Dream.”
Vilson Qehaja, the owner of Anna’s Greek Restaurant, says, “It’s all the 25 years of hard work. It’s paid off to get to the point of life that, you can inspire others. That the American dream is still alive.”
Anna’s and the dream began with chef Anna in Greece, and she continues to live her dream in Bowling Green with the skills she gained from her family.
Anna says, “Cooking and being chefs runs in the family for decades later generations of generations. I remember when my grandma passed from her grandma, and now my generation, my cousins, they are chefs everywhere in the world.”
This isn’t your typical mom-and-pop restaurant. It takes a village.
Anna and Vilson’s daugter, Vilsiana Qehaja, says, “We go beyond work. We put our care We put our love into it, and because of that, that’s really what makes our food different because it’s not a job to us. This is our love. This is like our family. This is what we do. ”
The love that’s poured into the food flows out of the family and into every environment they enter.
Vilson also says, “Everything I’ve done here is done with my family, and creating the legacy. Being part of the community, serving the community, and overall inspiring others to do great in their lives. It’s like almost stepping into Greece and you’re meeting family.”
