Texas men facing forgery, organized crime charges in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – Four Houston, Texas men are facing forgery and organized crime charges in Barren County.

On Friday, Glasgow police were dispatched to Shane Drive about subjects attempting to cash fraudulent checks at a Glasgow business.

Upon arrival, the subjects fled on foot from officers. Officers located false identification cards, fraudulent checks, and a large sum of money.

Glasgow police were able to apprehend three men after a brief foot chase.

Jeison Barahona from Houston Texas was arrested and charged with Forgery 1st Degree, Criminal Possession Of Forged Instrument 1st Degree, Display Or Possession Of Cancelled Or Fictitious Operator License, Engaging In Organized Crime, Fleeing Or Evading Police 1st Degree (On Foot).

Joel Alexander Barahona from Houston Texas was arrested and charged with Forgery 1st Degree, Criminal Possession Of Forged Instrument 1st Degree, Fleeing Or Evading Police 1st Degree (On Foot), Engaging In Organized Crime, Display Or Possession Of Cancelled Or Fictious Operator License.

Davila Wilbeth Fernando of Houston Texas was arrested and charged with= Forgery 1 st Degree, Criminal Possession Of Forged Instrument 1 st Degree, Fleeing Or Evading Police 1st Degree (On Foot), Engaging In Organized Crime, Display Or Possession Of Cancelled Or Fictious Operator License.

The three men are lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
