Tennessee woman killed in Clinton County crash

ALBANY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision in Clinton County.
KSP Post 15 troopers were called to a two-vehicle injury collision at the intersection of US 127 and KY 558 on Thursday afternoon.
According to KSP’s preliminary investigation, Kayelyn Garrett, 21, of Livingston, TN, was driving west on KY 558 and approached the intersection of US 127. When Garrett’s vehicle entered the intersection, it collided with another vehicle driving north on US 127. The second vehicle was operated by Derek Guffey, 18, of Albany.
Garrett was transported to the Medical Center Albany, where she later died. A juvenile in the vehicle was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.
Additional passengers in Garrett’s vehicle, Sierra Fulton, 23, of Monticello, and a juvenile, were transported to the Medical Center at Albany for minor injuries.
Guffey was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
