Tennessee man charged with drug possession after traffic stop in Scottsville

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Tennessee man is facing drug possession charges following a traffic stop in Scottsville Thursday night.

According to the Scottsville Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop Thursday around 8:19 p.m. on a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Evan Bohanan of Westmoreland, Tennessee.

Authorities say they stopped the vehicle for a traffic-related offense.

Police say a K-9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle.

Through further investigation, officers say they found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Bohanan was transported to the Allen County Detention Center. He faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), failure to or improper signal and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
