Tennessee man arrested outside pharmacy in Glasgow

A Portland, Tennessee man is under arrest in Barren County.

Jeffrey Conyer, 38, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. 

Glasgow Police responded to a complaint outside Ely Drugs on Happy Valley Road. Upon arrival, they made contact with Conyer as he was placing beer cans on the outside bench. Police say Conyer became aggressive and tried to get back into the vehicle that he had got out of.

Officers say they received consent to search the vehicle and located suspected methamphetamine and a pipe.

Conyer was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
