TC Cherry Elementary promotes 100 students into kindergarten

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local elementary school in Bowling Green is celebrating its students and their next step in education.

On Tuesday morning, 100 students from TC Cherry Elementary School graduated from preschool to the kindergarten program.

The ceremony is part of the district’s goal in showing students the importance of being kindergarten ready.

Also, Boys to Men of South Central Kentucky was present to provide shirts and ties for the boys in an effort to show them how to dress for graduation.

Boys to Men’s Tyreon Clark has been mentoring the male students for just two months now.

Bowling Green Independent School District Superintendent Gary Fields spoke to students about how vital their education is.

Fields also said this morning’s preschool graduation class was the largest class they’ve had so far.

He credits the student’s families and their support for the many students graduating.
