Tax deadline extended for Kentuckians due to flooding
Tax season is here, but the deadline to file has been pushed for Kentuckians as many continue to pick up the pieces after severe weather.
The deadline for both federal and state taxes has been extended from April 15 to Nov. 3.
Late filing and payment penalties are being waived for Kentuckians who file after April 15 so long as they make the November deadline.
All Kentuckians are eligible for this extension.
However, the IRS warns to file as soon as you can to avoid payment interest in building if you owe money on your taxes.
