Targeted Business Awards celebrates south central Kentucky businesses

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Several businesses in south central Kentucky received awards from The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce last night.
The event, which took place at SkyPAC, honors businesses every October to celebrate their accomplishments and impact in the community.
Envision AESC received the highest honor of the evening, the John B. Holland Business of the Year Award. In April, the electric vehicle battery company announced its $2 billion investment to build a factory in Bowling Green.
The Chamber presented awards to 16 total businesses, including the following in five other categories:
- Healthcare Enterprise Award
- For South Central Kentucky healthcare organizations that expanded operations in 2022, investing capital and creating new jobs for local residents.
- Graves Gilbert Clinic, Med Center Health and TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital.
- Newcomer Award
- For companies that are new to South Central Kentucky and have announced a location here within the past 12 months.
- Element Materials Technology Group, Envision AESC, O-I Glass and Tyson Foods.
- Business Expansion Award
- For South Central Kentucky businesses that expanded operations in 2022, investing capital and creating jobs for local residents.
- Android Industries, LLC, Bluegrass Supply Chain Services, General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc., Multi-Color Corporation and Owl’s Head Alloys, Inc.
- Business Innovation Award
- For South Central Kentucky companies that – through product or process – best exemplify innovative leadership
- Bluegrass Supply Chain Services and O-I Glass.
- Green to Gold Award
- For companies that best exemplify “green” leadership as it pertains to the region’s goals to become a leader in this emerging field.
