T.J. Samson Community Hospital welcomes first baby of new year
GLASGOW, Ky. – The team at T.J. Samson Community Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2026.
May Marifer Velasco Rendon was born at 4:29 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, according to a social media post by T.J. Regional Health.
She weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was delivered by Dr. Todd Bader, the hospital says.
May Rendon is the daughter of Christina Rendon Rodriguez and Fernando Velasco Abraham of Cave City, T.J. Regional Health says.
In addition to her parents, the hospital says she is welcomed by her big sister, 3-year-old Cassandra, who was also born at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
