T.J. Regional Health warns of phone scam targeting patients
GLASGOW, Ky.- A local healthcare provider is warning patients of a phone scam.
Officials from T.J. Regional Health say a scammer is calling individuals claiming to be from “T.J. Health Partners.”
The scammer claims the provider is updating its records and needs personal information, such as the patient’s medicare number.
Representatives from the legitimate healthcare provider will only contact you to discuss a service you are planning to have or have already completed, such as a doctor’s visit.
Never give out personal information over the phone.
