Suspended Glasgow officer pleads not guilty to domestic violence charge

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow Police Department officer who is currently on suspension has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
Public information officer Major Terry Flatt says the Glasgow Police Department responded to the 100 block of Milton Ave. at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 18.
Flatt says the department received a complaint of domestic violence involving Vickery. As a result, Vickery was arrested.
Vickery’s arraignment took place via zoom on Feb. 6. Court records state a not guilty plea has been entered, with a pretrial conference scheduled for March 20 at 9 a.m.
The Kentucky State Police is conducting the investigation of the incident after a request from GPD.
Flatt says criminal charges could be brought against the officer following the investigation. Vickery is currently suspended, according to Flatt.
According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police responded to the scene on Jan. 18 and learned a verbal argument had occurred.
The citation further states Vickery “lunged” for a woman’s phone, causing her to be knocked back. Troopers say the woman stated that at one point, Vickery “grabbed her by the hair of the head.”
Vickery has since been released from the Barren County Detention Center on a $500 cash bond. He faces a charge of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence, no visible injury).
