Suspects wreck stolen vehicle in Bowling Green during pursuit
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating after a stolen vehicle fled deputies and wrecked on Monday.
According to authorities, deputies were patrolling at 1:49 a.m. around the Baileys Farm subdivision when they saw a male in dark clothing running from two parked vehicles.
Deputies say the male got into the back of a silver Nissan Altima with no headlights on.
When the vehicle drove off, deputies say they tried to conduct a traffic stop in front of Flea Land.
However, the vehicle fled deputies at a high speed toward Scottsville Road before wrecking at the parking lot of Sonny’s BBQ, authorities say.
Three male subjects then ran from the vehicle and were not located.
Deputies say the wrecked vehicle was reported stolen out of Nashville, Tennessee. Inside the vehicle, deputies say they found a rifle, a cell phone and key tools.
According to the sheriff’s office, witnesses reported seeing two of the suspects with guns as they ran through the neighborhoods behind Sonny’s BBQ.
