Supreme Court passes on appeal in Sen. Rand Paul attack case
WASHINGTON, D.C.- The United States Supreme Court is passing on an appeal in the Sen. Rand Paul attack case.
The supreme court is declining to review the appeal that would mandate a new hearing for the sentencing of Rene Boucher, Paul’s neighbor in Bowling Green.
Boucher attacked Paul outside of his house in 2017, breaking the senator’s ribs in the process.
Boucher has already served his 30-day sentence.
Since the supreme court denied the appeal by Boucher, the case will be reviewed by the first judge that issued sentencing, Judge Marianne Battani.
