Super Bowl champ Malcolm Mitchell to rally Warren Co. students to ‘Read with Malcolm’

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – More than 700 Warren Elementary School students will participate in a “Read with Malcolm Reading Rally” on Tuesday, March 25 between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
According to a release by the district, Malcolm Mitchell, Super Bowl champion and founder/CEO of Share the Magic Foundation, will lead the reading rally.
Mitchell considers a love of reading to be “his greatest achievement” and founded Share the Magic with the purpose of transforming children’s lives through literacy, school officials say.
Warren County Public Schools says at the rally, each student will get a copy of Mitchell’s book, “The Magician’s Hat,” and participate in a high-energy, pep rally-style assembly with a read-along and a magic show.
Since founding the Magic Foundation, school officials say Mitchell and the organization have reached over 1.5 million students across the nation and internationally with Malcolm literacy initiatives.
The release says Mitchell’s mission is to “inspire young people to read by bringing book ownership in Title I schools and under-resources communities.”
The programs, officials say, offer inspiration and motivation and carry a message that reading is the key to achieving goals. To learn more, visit readwithmalcolm.com.
