Sunrise Spotlight: BGKY Calls for Artists

For today’s Sunrise Spotlight, we sat down with News 40’s own Telia Butler. She told us all about how you can have your art displayed throughout the city of Bowling Green.

The City of Bowling Green is issuing a call for art designs to all who live, work, or study in Bowling Green and Warren County to create designs for traffic cabinet boxes in the Downtown BGKY area.

The contest intends to beautify the city while allowing local artists to showcase their work. This contest results from the City being awarded a General Motors Foundation Grant for placemaking. A $500 commission will be awarded to each artist whose design is chosen and up to five designs will be selected.

Winning designs will be printed on vinyl and wrapped around traffic cabinets Downtown.

The design submission deadline is Friday, June 21st, 2024 at 4:00 P.M.
