Sugar cookies sold at Target recalled for potential wood contamination

(CNN) – Target shoppers may want to take a second look at a snack item they may have bought.
Favorite Day Bakery frosted sugar cookies in 10-count, 13-and-a-half ounce packages have been recalled.
The voluntary notice to recall more 800 cases of the cookies was issued by Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp. on July 22.
The Food and Drug Administration says the recall issue is over the potential for “foreign material” contamination, said to be wood.
The cookies, produced in Canada, were distributed to Target stores in 20 states and Washington, D.C., including Kentucky.
