‘Stuff the Ambulance’ gathering school supplies for local students

GLASGOW, Ky. – An initiative between T.J. Samson Community Hospital and the Barren-Metcalfe Ambulance Service is aiming to prepare local students for the school year.
“Stuff the Ambulance” is collecting school supplies from Aug. 1 through Aug. 2.
All donated school supplies will benefit students in the Barren County, Glasgow Independent and Caverna Independent school districts, according to a release by T.J. Regional Health.
An ambulance will be at T.J. Health Pavilion Community Center on Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Aug. 2, it will be located at the south entrance of T.J. Samson Community Hospital from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
New school supplies needed include backpacks, notebooks, folders, binders, paper, pens and pencils, pencil pouches, coloring utensils, highlighters and glue sticks.
