Students who work at Bowling Green Chick-Fil-A receive $2,500 scholarship
BOWLING GREEN,Ky.-Six students in Bowling Green received a $2,500 scholarship from a fast food restaurant on Thursday.
Those students, who work at Chick-Fil-A on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green, were both surprised and excited by the news that they would have some extra money to help them out while they attend college.
Megan Swaim, Mary Moore, Morgan Collins, Madison Vanwinkle, Madeleine Jones and Tanikka Swope were six of the 6,000 people across the country who will receive a scholarship from Chick-Fil-A.
Only four of the six winners were able to attend the ceremony.
“It’s awesome. I’m super excited. I was really looking forward to just getting the help from Chick-Fil-A, and they’ve just helped me for so many years,” said Swaim
“It just really helps with all the financial situations that we all have and I’m just blessed to be apart of Chick-Fil-A,” said Jones.
Most of the scholarship winners will either be attending Western Kentucky University or the University of Kentucky.
