Student now facing federal charges after being accused of terroristic threatening
The 19-year-old Glasgow native accused of making threats against the University of Kentucky is now facing federal charges.
Just two weeks ago, Haily Duvall contacted UK police and several media outlets to report apparent threats made on social media platform Snapchat.
Now, she’s the focus of an FBI investigation as she is suspected of making those threats.
Duvall originally faced terroristic threatening and falsely reporting an incident charges in Fayette County, but was released on bail after pleading not guilty.
Now, her federal charges include threatening communications, making false statements and reporting false information, according to LEX18.
Each charge carries a potential maximum sentence of five years in prison.
Duvall will be in front of a judge on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
