Stratus Plastic expansion could create 135 new jobs in Morgantown
MORGANTOWN, Ky.- Stratus Plastics International in Morgantown announced on Thursday that the company will be expanding production, immediately creating 35 new jobs.
Stratus Plastics is a producer of injection-molded parts for motor vehicles, appliances and consumer goods.
Since the company opened Morgantown’s location in 2017, it has invested millions of dollars in the community and created 45 jobs. This expansion has the potential for 135 new positions in the years to come.
The heightened demand for the company came from a major motor vehicle manufacturer awarding Stratus additional production lines.
“In 2017 we expanded to our current 165,000 square foot building in Morgantown and Stratus is excited to announce this expansion. We value this community and are proud to continue sustainable growth with our personnel,” said plant manager Dave Kondracki.
Kondracki said that the company anticipates making dozens more future hires as it continues to expand in Kentucky.
