Storm damage reported in Rockcastle County

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – Reports have come in of potential tornado damage in Rockcastle County.

It was sometime after 8 a.m. Thursday when a line of severe weather came through, impacting two homes and a barn.

The area was under a tornado warning about the same time when the weather hit. One man said he was injured when he was walking by his window and was hit by flying glass.

“Just getting out of bed, and my girlfriend was hollering at me, and bought time I got up, it all happened so quick. Just loud sound and wind blowing,” he said.

The people who live in this house say they don’t have insurance. They aren’t sure how they’re going to make the repairs, but they say the home is still livable. The area also lost electricity.
