According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office,  deputies spotted a vehicle reported stolen out of Alabama traveling westbound on Franklin Road.

When deputies tried to stop the vehicle, they say the vehicle stopped, and a passenger got out with their hands up.

Deputies say the vehicle then began driving away, leading to a pursuit on New Gallatin Road and Smiths Grove Road before heading north on New Glasgow Road.

The sheriff’s office says the pursuit continued through the intersection of New Gallatin Road and Smiths Grove Road before heading north on New Glasgow Road.

Deputies say the pursuit reached speeds of at least 100 miles per hour.

The Scottsville Police Department also joined the pursuit, authorities say, before the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed on New Glasgow Road.

The driver, identified as Kyle Cutchins, 24, of Scottsville, then left the vehicle, jumping a fence and running into a field, authorities say.

Cutchins was taken into custody following a foot pursuit by law enforcement.
