Steven Lawson sentenced in Crystal Rogers case

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) – One of the three men convicted in connection with the disappearance of Crystal Rogers is now facing 17 years in prison.
According to WAVE, Steven Lawson has been sentenced to 17 years in prison with no chance for parole. Steven Lawson was found guilty in May of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence during a trial at the Warren County Justice Center.
Court documents state Steven Lawson was sentenced on Wednesday, Aug. 6 in Nelson County.
Rogers went missing in July 2015, with her car being found abandoned along the Bluegrass Parkway. Her body has still not been found to this day.
Brooks Houck, Rogers’ ex-boyfriend, and Joseph Lawson were found guilty during a trial in Bowling Green last month. Both men are scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 21.
Houck was found guilty of murder (principal or accomplice) and tampering with physical evidence, while Joseph Lawson was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.
A jury recommended 17 years in prison for Steven Lawson.
Ultimately, Lawson was sentenced Wednesday to 17 years with no chance for parole.
