Stephen Meredith re-elected as state senator of 5th senatorial district

SOUTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY – The numbers are in.

According to unofficial results, residents of five key counties have spoken, and Stephen Meredith has been re-elected as state senator to represent the 5th senatorial district.

This district includes Butler, Ohio, Grayson, Breckinridge and Meade counties.

Meredith drew in 5,973 votes (71.8%), while Thomas Ballinger received 2,344 votes (28.2%).
