State police search for Hart County inmate who walked away from work detail

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – Just after 4:30 a.m. Friday, Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green was contacted by the Hart County Jail in reference to an escaped inmate.  According to jail staff, an inmate walked away from a work detail at 100 Bluegrass Avenue in Horse Cave.

The escapee, Christopher Mazur, 49, of Battle Creek, Mich., is a white male with brown hair, brown eyes, approximately 5’9” tall, and weighs approximately 155 pounds. It is unknown what Mazur was wearing at the time of his escape.
