State police say man struck girlfriend with vehicle
COLUMBIA, Ky. – Kentucky State Police Post 15 is investigating a reported assault involving a vehicle.
KSP says it received a report of an assault on Kellyville Road in Adair County.
The investigation shows that Tyron Vanarsdale, 50 of Columbia, and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation. KSP says Vanarsdale entered his vehicle with his girlfriend standing next to it.
KSP says Vanarsdale allegedly struck the woman with his vehicle and fled the scene.
The woman was transported from the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
Vanarsdale was apprehended and is charged with assault 2nd degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree, and leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid. He is lodged at the Adair County Regional Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
