Spring Has Sprung: Where to Find Wildflowers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It feels more like spring every day, and summer is coming up quicker than you think. There are a few local resources that you should know about to bring more native plants to your yard, for free!

You can stop by any WRECC office in April for a free packet of wildflower seeds. They aren’t the only ones though, as all Warren County Public Library Branches have seed libraries. A seed library is when folks throughout the community bring in seeds for other people to take free of charge. Each person can check out five seed packets per day.

Wildflowers that are native to your area bring many benefits when you plant them. They’re said to improve air quality, prevent erosion and improve soil health.
