BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Sporting Times and WNKY 40 Television have announced the launch of a new weekly television broadcast program. ‘Sporting Times Sports Show’ will air every Saturday at 6 p.m. on NBC 40, beginning in September.

Sporting Times has covered high school sports in South Central Kentucky since 2004 through print, digital and broadcast platforms. Founded locally by Director Doug Thompson, the sporting news source focuses on local, positive stories about athletes and athletic programs.

“Sporting Times looks forward to working with the great staff at WNKY and Brand Fathom, a digital marketing and creative services company. Our goal is simple, to provide our viewers with a positive, action-packed, local 30-minute show. We’re thankful to our sponsors for their outstanding support as we unveil the “Sporting Times Sports Show” on WNKY NBC 40,” Thompson said.

‘Sporting Times Sports Show’ will be the first local, sports-only news program to air on WNKY 40 Television. WNKY General Manager, Julie Milam, believes the core goals and mission of WNKY 40 and Sporting Times are perfectly matched for a broadcasting partnership.
