Speakeasy Dispensary opens in Bowling Green, providing medical-grade cannabis to the community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday morning, the Speakeasy Dispensary opened its doors to the Bowling Green community, providing medical-grade cannabis products.

The dispensary is now the 17th of its kind to be opened in Kentucky and is one of the 48 licensed in the Commonwealth.

Speakeasy Dispensary has a wide variety of medical-grade cannabis products, ranging from the traditional flower to vapors, concentrates and edibles.

Doctors were also on site holding patient drives for those in the community. This gave individuals a chance to be seen and evaluated in order to acquire or renew their medical cannabis card.

In order to obtain your medical cannabis card in Kentucky, you must fall under one of the 21 permissible diagnoses ranging from arthritis, glaucoma, crones disease, epilepsy and more.

“Patients who believe that they qualify can go online at kypatientdrives.com and register for an appointment with a medical practitioner to see if they qualify,” said Rachel Roberts, executive director of the Kentucky Cannabis Industry Alliance. “And then, assuming that they do, they apply to the state to get their card, and as soon as they have their card in hand, then they can come in to the dispensary and purchase their medicine.”
