Southern Lanes hosts camp for kids all through summer
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – School may be out for the summer, but kids across Warren County are still staying active—this time, not on the trails, but at the bowling alley.
Southern Lanes is once again hosting its annual summer camp, offering a fun-filled experience for kids ages 4 to 15. The camp, which runs through the end of July, has become a seasonal staple in Bowling Green—drawing bigger crowds and adding more activities with each passing year.
But the camp is far from just strikes and spares. Young campers get to enjoy a wide range of attractions including laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, movies, and more.
“I just think it’s cool to get kids into a sport that’s going to help them,” Demi Litten, marketing manager for Southern Lanes said. “As adults, they can earn money for college by competing in tournaments. The more they play, the more opportunities they have. I just like to see kids doing something everyone can enjoy.”
This year marks over a decade of Southern Lanes summer camps, and the energy is higher than ever. Week one wrapped up Friday, but the fun continues as week two kicks off June 23.
