BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Southern Kentucky Floral Exchange officially opens its doors this Thursday in downtown Bowling Green.

Located at 348 College St. at Unit 120, the business says it will serve as a “collaborative marketplace” with over 20 specialty cut flower farms from across south-central Kentucky.

This soft opening celebration will show the variety of fresh-cut flowers, as well as other local goods, such as honey, dried flowers, hand-poured candles and farm-branded merchandise.

On opening day, wholesale buyers, such as florists designers and wedding professionals, can attend a sip and shop event form 9 to 11 a.m. Meanwhile, the general public can attend the grand opening celebration from noon to 6 p.m.

“We are proud to open the doors to a new kind of flower marketplace—one that connects our vibrant local flower farmers directly with floral professionals and the broader community,” said Emily Hunt, co- owner of the Floral Exchange. “This is a rare opportunity for customers to shop from a great volume of top-quality local flowers and we’re excited to share this unique shopping experience and to provide an additional sales outlet to our team of farmers.”

The Southern Kentucky Floral Exchange will operate seasonally and focus on offering weekly availability of premium, locally grown flowers and foliage to florists, designers and consumers alike.
