South Warren softball wins third consecutive 4th region championship
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – South Warren softball won its third consecutive 4th region championship after defeating Barren County 4-0 in the title game.
The squads were tied at zero heading into the sixth inning until Layla Ogden blasted a two-run homer to take the lead and give the Lady Spartans the momentum they needed to close out the game with the victory.
South Warren is set to face off with the Region 8 winner in the first round of the state tournament at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington on Thursday, June 4, at 8 p.m. EST.
