South Warren Softball Gets Ready for State Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The South Warren Lady Spartans begin their pursuit of the state championship in just a few days, but this week, they are gearing up for the competition ahead.

Tuesday, thanks to the morning showers, the team practiced in the indoor facility, tightening up the small things before their big games.

South Warren is set to face off with Elizabethtown on Friday at 9 a.m. local time, and it’ll be the second meeting between the two teams after they battled back in March, and the Lady Spartans earned a 5-0 win.

Ahead of the first round, head coach Kelly Reynolds spoke on what she’s expecting from her team.

“We’ve had really high expectations for the girls all year, I feel like, but you know, the girls know to stay locked in and stay focused and it’s one game at a time,” Reynolds said. “You know, it’s getting hopefully past Elizabeth town on Friday and then we can look ahead. But there’s no looking ahead till we get through Friday.”
