South Warren softball falls in State Semifinals
The South Warren softball season came to a close in the State Semifinals at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky, at the hands of Henderson County High School.
Courtney Norwood was lights out throughout the first four innings, allowing just one hit and striking out for the Lady Colonels to keep things scoreless and close for South Warren.
The same was to be said for Anna Kemp, who held the Lady Spartans scoreless throughout the whole game and striking out seven in the process.
Helping Henderson get over the hump was a pair of solo home runs by McKenzie Berchick and Elise Rawlings. South Warren was able to get a runner on in the tying run to the plate in the last inning, but was not able to score, falling by a final score of 2-0.
