South Central Kentucky Workforce Development holds job fair in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – At the Butler County Adult Education Center, the South Central Kentucky Workforce Development Board was in Tuesday morning to find potential employees in the local area.

Several employers took part in the job fair today from manufacturers to healthcare providers, hiring in Butler County to fill staffing needs in critical roles. News 40 spoke to Jake Brown, a representative for the board, who said in the BRADD area, they’re seeing a huge need in manufacturing positions due to high turnover.

Brown said the workforce website has a calendar that always updates to inform the public on when and where the next event, such as a job fair, will be, telling us that it’s a great resource for anyone to refer to.

Brown said target audiences for the board are those reintegrating into society after being in jail or prison, youth, veterans and new Americans.
