South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force shuts down meth lab

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A meth lab was shut down by law enforcement in June.
The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force says it, along with the Scottsville Police Department, addressed a “One-Step” Methamphetamine Lab in Scottsville on June 23.
The agency neutralized the lab and collected samples. The samples were sent to Kentucky State Police for disposal.
Director Jacky Ray Hunt says meth labs are resurfacing due to increased smuggling difficulties and released convicted Meth cooks.
Hunt says there is also a potential risk of Fentanyl production in the meth labs.
The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force serves Allen and Simpson counties.
