Son of Rutherford County Schools director in critical condition after being swept into storm drain
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – A child is in critical condition in Rutherford County, Tennessee after reports claim he was swept into a storm drain.
Nine-year-old Asher Sullivan is the son of the director of Rutherford County Schools in Tennessee.
According to the school district, the child was severely injured Wednesday after being swept into a storm drain. He is now receiving treatment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where his condition remains critical.
The district shared the following message:
“Our director of school’s son was involved in an accident tonight during the storm. He is stable but critical and is receiving medical treatment tonight .We ask that you please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
A prayer vigil will be held at the Rutherford County District Office Thursday to show support for the Sullivan family.
