EDMONTON, COLUMBIA, Ky. – Some power outage repairs are expected to be delayed due to flooding.

According to Farmers Rural Electric Cooperative, an outage impacting 49 members will take some extra time in the Leatherwood Church Road area in Columbia and the William Judd Road area in Edmonton.

The flooding in these areas means Farmers RECC crews cannot safely reach the poles to make repairs, officials say.

Farmers RECC says it does not expect power to be restored in this area until at least Friday, April 4.

Farmers RECC encourages members in these areas to prepare accordingly. News 40 will continue to provide updates as they are released.

If circumstances change and water recedes, officials say crews will start restoring service as quickly as they safely can.
