SOKY used book sale comes to Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- With Read Across America Day taking place Saturday, you might be looking for some new books to explore.

At the Bob Kirby Branch of the Warren County Public Library, the SOKY Used Book Fest kicked off Friday.

The event features thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records for all to enjoy for $1 or less.

Bob Kirby Branch Manager, Ashley Fowlkes says she’s excited to be a part of the book fest before Read Across America Day.

“What a wonderful time for it to be. People are reading all across America, and when people walk out the door with all of these books, you now that children who can’t afford them from a brand-new bookstore, they can come here and get them for fifty cents or a dollar. They just have a ball reading,” Fowlkes said.

The used book fest ends March 3. Book donations can be made at the WKU libraries, and at the other branches of the Warren County Public Library System.
