SoKY Speaks: Norton Children’s to host virtual listening session to shape new pediatric care campus
PRESS RELEASE:
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2026) — As plans continue to move forward for a new Norton Children’s pediatric care campus, including a second dedicated children’s hospital in Kentucky, the not-for-profit health system is inviting families, educators and community members to help shape what comes next.
Norton Children’s will host a virtual “Follow the Balloon” community listening session Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m. central/ 7 p.m. eastern. The interactive session will give participants an opportunity to learn more about the future campus, ask questions and share ideas that will directly inform planning, services and design.
The session reflects Norton Children’s commitment to ensuring the new campus, located on 150 acres in Jeffersontown, is shaped by the voices of the communities it will serve across Kentucky and beyond.
“We’re building more than a hospital. We’re building a future just for kids,” said Russell F. Cox, president and CEO, Norton Healthcare, the parent organization of Norton Children’s. “Because this campus will be built for every child and family, every voice matters in making this vision a reality.”
