Software conflict causes COWS activation, says emergency management

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Emergency sirens were inadvertently activated in Warren County on Saturday.
The Community Outdoor Warning Sirens (COWS) were activated at approximately 8:30 pm due to a conflict with a new software update.
Warren County Emergency Management says the device is now offline, and the company that supports the COWS is working to determine the issue and correct it.
The COWS system is active and will be utilized as needed.
