Smiths Grove Buc-ee’s location confirmed to open on June 24

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – The wait is nearly over.

Buc-ee’s in Smiths Grove, Kentucky is set to open Monday, June 24, according to a release by the company.

The release states doors will open to the public at 6 a.m. Central Daylight Time, with a ribbon-cutting at noon.

Buc-ee’s Smiths Grove is the second Buc-ee’s location in Kentucky. The first, Buc-ee’s Richmond, opened in April of 2022.

“Smiths Grove may be small, but the community has welcomed us with as much love and enthusiasm as our largest cities, so we’re excited to be here and watch this partnership grow,” Stan Beard of Buc-ee’s says.

Located 4001 Smiths Grove-Scottsville Road, Buc-ee’s Smiths Grove will occupy a 53,000 square-foot space and include 120 fueling positions. Buc-ee’s Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky and fresh pastries will be available.

The company says customers will find thousands of snack, meal and drink options, as well as clean restrooms, gasoline, quality products and service.

The ribbon-cutting on opening day will be attended by Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Gov. Andy Beshear, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, Smiths Grove mayor David Stiffey, Smiths Grove city commissioners, Warren County judge-executive Doug Gorman and former Warren County judge-executive Mike Buchanon.

The release further states Buc-ee’s will bring at least 200 jobs to the area.

After opening Buc-ee’s Smiths Grove, Buc-ee’s says it will operate 50 stores across Texas and the South, including Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, with additional locations in Missouri and Colorado.
