SKYPAC opens applications for 2026 Public Art Invitational
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Southern Kentucky Preforming Arts Center is now accepting applications for the 2026 Public Art Invitational.
The application is open to any artist in the Bowling Green area, state of Kentucky, and anyone else in the United States who would like their work to be showcased.
Once the application window closes, artwork that is chosen will be put on display around many high visibility areas across Bowling Green.
SKYPAC partnered with the City of Bowling Green to put these works of art on display in locations such as Circus Square Park, The Chamber Walk, Capitol Alley and other Warren County-owned properties in the area.
The invitational will give the community a chance to not only see local artists work but also different pieces and styles from across the state and country while also providing a new way to beautify Bowling Green.
“I think it’s very important to highlight artists and artwork to beautify our community and also give an opportunity for the public to kind of be curious and see different ways of seeing things through art,” said Jessica Snodgrass, marketing and sales director at SKYPAC.
The application to submit pieces of art opened Feb. 27 and will close on April 30. Once the applications close, a selection committee will chose between 15 to 20 different sculptures to be featured throughout the city.
Artists will be notified if their pieces were chosen in July, with installations beginning in August. Exhibit dates are to be determined.
