SKYPAC named a Top Venue of the Month Worldwide in Pollstar Magazine

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center is receiving national and global recognition as a venue.
According to a release by SKYPAC on Friday, it has earned the No. 8 spot among top venues in the world this month in the 1,501 to 2,500 category, as reported by Pollstar Magazine.
SKYPAC says it ranks among venues in Canada, the United Kingdom and other venues in the United States.
For more than 40 years, Pollstar has been a source for live entertainment news and data, serving promoters, booking agents, vanue managers and talent across the world, the release states.
“To be recognized among the top ten ticket-selling venues in the world is a tremendous honor for SKYPAC and for Bowling Green,” said Jeffrey A. Reed, president and CEO of SKYPAC. “It’s a reflection of our community’s passion for live entertainment and the incredible work of our staff, volunteers, sponsors, and patrons who make every event possible. We’re proud to see Southern Kentucky represented on a global stage.”
The recognition covers events presented between Aug. 26 and Sept. 22, including performances by Rick Springfield, The Avett Brothers, Crowder and Sawyer Brown, showcasing the diversity of programming at SKYPAC.
“This is such a compliment for our area,” said Talent Buyer Jennie Chapman of SKYPAC. “The Arts are important for so many, especially in times of obstacles and chaos. We hope to continue to successfully bring people together.”
News 40 spoke to Makenzie Belcher, Assistant Marketing Manager with SKYPAC, who believes the success of these recent events is continuing to grow.
“I think the programming lately has definitely helped us kind of step up into this new room. So it’s good to finally get that recognition from somebody so important like Pollstar. So we’re thrilled to just keep bringing these big names in and getting people to explore the magic of SKYPAC, because we strongly believe in the magic that’s here and now to know that Pollstar believes in it too is pretty impressive,” she says.
SKYPAC is grateful for the continued support of its patrons and community and looks forward to welcoming guests to upcoming events.
