SkyPAC concert hall is renamed Rita and Jim Scott Concert Hall
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. The concert hall at The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center has a new name.
The concert hall will now be known as the Rita and Jim Scott Concert Hall.
This is due to the couple’s support of the arts in Bowling Green and a $1 million donation to the performing arts center.
The Scotts are both long-time supporters of the arts. Both came to speak at the announcement event, along with Arts of Southern Kentucky President and CEO Jeff Reed, and public officials.
Rita Scott said she is thrilled to contribute to the program.
“We feel it’s a good place to put this contribution. It’ll keep this place going for years to come. I’m a music lover, and we attend concerts here. We want to continue to see good things happening here for all the community young and old. It’s definitely an asset to the community,” Rita Scott said.
This donation will be split evenly between operating expenses, and the establishment of the Rita and Jim Scott endowment. This gift represents the largest single investment made to an arts organization in southern Kentucky.
